Oxnard, California and its greatest champion Zack Nelson.
I met Zack back in the early 00’s in Sacramento while my band and his (In Control) crossed paths. Later as I began thinking about doing a podcast, it was his 185 Miles South that gave me much to think of in terms of history, long interviews etc.
Zack is humble, well spoken and the perfect guy to be the champion of oxnard hardcore past, present and future. But he and his friends’ podcast goes well beyond Oxnard and provides alot of fun listens with just chats on favorite records in general.
Zack’s upbringing and coming to age story is fantastic and he and I had a wonderful chat and at times I felt like I was being interviewed by him. Truly a pleasure to have him on the show.
