Shane Merrill is another long time friend whose work out of a small Knights of Columbus in a suburb just outside of Chicago inspired alot of what would come into play with This Is Hardcore . The Arlington Heist was one of the first “fests” we would attend annually, whether on the road with Dysphoria or with Punishment or Shattered Realm.
He has grown alot from Hall shows into holding down a calendar for Reggies, a 3 room venue in Chicago.
We talk on his early days, the bands he and his friends did as kids and what got him going into the world of promoting. With the announcement of the Killer Reunion, the band Shane plays in, and 2 reunion shows he booked in August, I wanted to have him on to talk about all of it. He’s been a friend for over 20 years and his story is awesome.
